Welcome to Fannie Mae's all-new For Home Buyers & Homeowners section on our corporate Web site, fanniemae.com. Replacing homepath.com, this new section gives you expanded content, tools, and resources -- all in one convenient portal.
We are also using new technologies that make it quicker and easier for you to use our tools and resources. As part of this effort, we no longer offer the Folder and Subscription features previously found on homepath.com. But, you will find many new features never before offered, including downloadable, easy-to-read files of several Fannie Mae brochures, enhanced search tools to locate Fannie Mae-approved lenders, and a new streamlined way to review mortgage solutions.
The new For Home Buyers & Homeowners section helps you get all the information you need to find the Fannie Mae mortgage and Fannie Mae-approved lender that are right for you. As America's largest source of home mortgage funds, Fannie Mae has developed a large array of innovative mortgage products, available to you through a nationwide network of Fannie Mae-approved lenders. Fannie Mae doesn't lend money directly to borrowers, but we do want to make sure you have the resources you need when searching for a home and mortgage.
If you are planning to purchase a home, our Becoming a Homeowner section shows you the steps you and your lender will take and provides tips on how to work with a real estate sales professional. If you are already a homeowner, you can learn how to refinance your current mortgage, renovate your home, or learn more about tapping the equity in your home with a reverse mortgage for seniors.
By using our Find a Lender Search, you can locate a Fannie Mae-approved lender to help you through the mortgage process. Our Find a Mortgage section details Fannie Mae mortgage solutions, including fixed-rate mortgages, adjustable-rate mortgages, low and no down payment mortgages, home improvement mortgages, reverse mortgages for seniors, and special financing mortgages.
We've also developed resources to make it easier to find the right mortgage product, including the True Cost CalculatorSM, a tool that lets you see the true total costs of a mortgage and compare one mortgage product to another. Other useful tools include additional mortgage calculators; an extensive glossary of mortgage terms; worksheets to calculate your debts, assets, and more; and our search engine to locate Fannie Mae Properties for Sale.
Because you may want to get additional advice, we make it easy to help you find a housing counselor, a state housing finance agency, and a reverse mortgage counselor. If you need personal assistance, contact Fannie Mae's Consumer Resource Center at 1-800-7FANNIE (1-800-732-6643).
